Subaru appears to be working on a new two-door performance car that is said to rival vehicles like the BMW M3.  The car will have the spirit of the original Subaru SVX which was popular back in the early 1990′s.

Earlier this week Toyota revealed the FT-86 Concept, which was part of a joint venture between them and Subaru and set to be revealed at the Tokyo Car Show.  However, sketches have appeared on the internet of Subaru’s version of the FT-86.

The Tokyo Auto Show has been rather disappointing to some spectators due to the lack of supercars being available for display.  However it was recently confirmed that the Lexus LF-A will be making a appearance there.

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen any decent sports cars come out from Toyota.  However, at the very bare Tokyo Car Show this year they revealed a new concept called the FT-86.
