2012 Spyker C8 Aileron GT
Dutch car-maker Spyker has revealed today it’s plans for a new GT racecar which will hit the track in 2012. Based off the new C8 Aileron supercar, the 2012 Spyker C8 Aileron GT will replace the C8 Laviolette GT2R. It will meet the Automobile Club de l’Ouest’s new GTE specifications, and be a fully factory-backed for customers.
Spyker has said they are in discussions with several potential customers. Including the C8 Aileron GT is to increase the commercial potential of Spyker Squadron. Other future plans include a possible development of a FIA GT3, which would only be based off success and demand of the car.
Spyker recently last week announced that they will be selling it’s car-making operations to CPP Global Holdings Ltd. in order to focus on their previous acquisition of Saab from General Motors. The move will focus on rebuilding the brand.
