
An unconfirmed picture of the new Toyota Sai.
Not long ago it was mentioned that Toyota was expanding their Prius hybrid technology to other models of their vehicles. Today it was announced that launching a new hybrid vehicle, which is expected to be offered in Japanese markets on October 20.
The new vehicle is called the Toyota Sai, which is slightly based off the Lexus HS 250h. The four door sedan will have a 2.4-liter four cylinder engine that is attached to Toyota’s newest hybrid system. Estimated fuel economy is in the 35mpg range. There are not really any confirmed pictures of what the Sai will look like at the moment.
Pricing for the new Toyota Sai is not announced as of yet, but can be expected to be in and around the same price of the current Toyota Prius. It is also not confirmed if this vehicle will ever make it to the North American market.
