Although it looks like a Aston Martin DBS that went topless, the DBS Volante is much more than that.  Several new improvements to the original model has been made in an effort to make an already great car into a work of perfection.  The downside though is, unless you have a lot of money, you won’t be able to get your hands on this car.

So, now you’re wondering why this car will be very hard to get.  The reason is that Aston Martin is only going to make 500 of these cars a year for the entire world, and at a hefty price of $262,500.  It comes with Aston Martin’s 6.0-liter v12 engine which pushes out 510hp and will go 0-60 in about 4 seconds.  It will also match the speed of 191-mph that the 250lbs. lighter coupe does.  It is also equipped with the Touchtronic six-speed automatic transmission, with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel for those who want a bit of control, with each gear holding an even redline until asked to upshift.  And in the manual fashion, the throttle will blip on downshifts and match the revs for the lower gear.

With the exception of the hand built Aston Martin One-77, the DBS Volante is the most expensive car Aston Martin has available.
