2008 Scion Xd, one of the vehicles recalled due to potential brake issues.
Toyota Motor Corp. announced Wednesday that it is recalling around 95,700 Toyota and Scion brand vehicles in the U.S. due to potential brake malfunction.
The recall affects some 2009 and 2010 Toyota Corolla and Corolla Matrix vehicles and some 2008 and 2009 Scion xD vehicles. The vehicles equipped with the 1.8-liter engine, condensed moisture can seep into the brake system causing possible ice accumulation and weakening of the power assist to the brakes.
Those who have these vehicles are strongly urged to return the vehicle to the dealer where a new intake air connector will be installed.
