2011 Land Rover LRX
Land Rover, a british automaker, announced today that the new Land Rover LRX, which was first shown as a concept version last year at the Detroit Auto Show, will be headed to production and be available for the 2011 models.
“Feedback from our customer research also fully supports our belief that a production version of the LRX Concept would further raise the desirability of our brand and absolutely meet their expectations,” said Phil Popham, Managing Director for Land Rover.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover design director also said that the production version will be “true to the concept and have many recognizable Range Rover design cues”. These include the floating roof, the solid wheel stance, and the clam shell hood.
Land Rover says the LRX will be the smallest, lightest and most efficient vehicle the company has ever designed and produced.
