2010 Lotus Exige Cup 260
When Lotus came out with the Lotus Exige 260 Sport, a lot of people were dying to get their hands on it. To put simply, it was a work of art. The only problem is, like most European cars, it never made it to the U.S., except for the 50 hand picked buyers. However, Lotus has released an even better version of this car: the Lotus Exige Cup 260.
The engine is still the 257 hp that does 174 lb-ft of torque at 6000, but the car now weighs only 1962 pounds. This is made possible to some weight lightening, such as the carbon fiber for the roof panel and scoop, and installing lighter wheels only weighing just 12 pounds each up front and 17 pounds a piece in back. They have also stiffened the rear subframe by 30 percent, and also swapped out the battery and flywheel for even lighter versions.
It will go 0-60 in 4 seconds, and go up to 100 mph in 9.9, with a top speed of 152 mph. Pricing is set at about $75,000.
