Holden Commodore SS V-Series Special Edition Sedan
To some people who are die-hard fans of the once great Pontiac brand will think it’s heresy to think that one of their more popular cars is going to be re-branded into a Australian car and not be offered in North America. Well, your worse nightmare has come true with the release of the Holden Commodore SS V-Series Special.
Holden, a subsidiary of General Motors, announced it will be releasing a new vehicle called the Holden Commodore SS V-Series Special, which is built using leftover Pontiac G8 body panels. It will be available in three different styles: a sedan, a wagon and a pickup. Other than the style of the back-end, the whole front end will closely resemble the now ended Pontiac G8 ST. They’ll go on sale in Australia this coming November and will be available in three different colors: Phantom black, Red Hot and Voodoo blue.
“The SS V-Series Special Edition will boast a new aggressive twin nostril front fascia with unique lower splitter and twin letter-box hood scoops,” Holden said in a statement.
Although no details of what the equipment details will be, the estimated price-tag for one of these will be $47,490 Australian, or around $41,500 USD. Sorry to everyone living in North America, this one won’t be coming to the states.
