Ferrari is planning to unveil the brand new Ferrari 458 Italia at the Frankfurt Car Show, in what is believed to be a leap forward in the company’s new design concept for their mid-rear engine cars.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is a two-seater, and is completely different from any of the other cars Ferrari has made.  The aerodynamics, design, handling, instruments, and even ergonomics are brand new for this new car, and that’s only some of them.  It also holds the brand new 4499 cc V8 that is Ferrari’s first direct injection engine to be mounted mid-rear, and pushes out 562hp and 398lb-ft of torque at 6,000 RPM, with 80% of the torque coming from 3,250 RPM.  It will go 0-60 in less than 3.4 seconds with a top speed of over 200mph.

The 458 Italia is for owners that want excellent on-road performance with occasional track day capability, but also want a car that is usable in day-to-day driving.
