BMW Z10
BMW seems to still be pushing around the idea of a environmentally friendly vehicle, and it appears that their new supercar, the BMW Z10, may just be that car. Designed in answer to Audi’s release of the R8, this new monster is expected to be a mid-mounted engine vehicle and more usable space than a Porsche 911.
Planned to be available as either a coupe or roadster, the Z10 will be powered by most likely an inline six, twin turbo engine that pushes out 450 horsepower at 350 lb-ft of torque. It’s also said it will only weigh a very light 3,300 lbs. It will also feature many “green technologies” such as the heat from the exhaust being used to pre-heat the lubricants for better efficiency. Active aerodynamics will also be included in the Z10 package.
The BMW Z10 is expected to be listed at $110,000, and not be available until around 2014.
