Aston Martin may be in trouble as it's parent company is experiencing financial problems.

Aston Martin hired Michael Van der Sande as Senior Vice President of Marketing.

The high performance automaker Aston Martin announced that they have hired Michael Van der Sande as their new Vice President of Marketing.  Formerly Van der Sande was the head of Harley Davidson’s European operations and Tesla’s Senior Vice President for Marketing.

Van der Sande, according to CEO Ulrich Bez, will be working out of Aston Martin’s Gaydon, UK office and will help the company further develop the presence of the company worldwide.

Like many of the various automakers, Aston Martin has been hit with the global recession and the poor automotive market.  Van der Sande will be tasked at increasing sales again which is down to less than half of what it was a year ago.
