2010 GTbyCitroën
For quite some time now Citroën has been toying with the idea of releasing a real life version of the GTbyCitroën. Originally a car designed for the Grand Turismo 5, Citroën has now confirmed that at least 5 of these cars are currently in production.
Citroën has been well known for people making rumors about their cars, and you can see why when you look at many of their cutting edge and superior designs. However, with making a supercar like the GT, they will be competing in a market primarily dominated by Ferrari and Lamborghini. But they don’t appear to be that worried at all, as the GT seems to be drawing a lot of attention, mainly due to the crazy but awesome design.
It has a very aggressive exterior, with gigantic wings, oversized air intakes, large rear diffuser and gullwing doors. However the one thing that people are questioning right now is what kind of power will it have. You see, the Grand Turismo 5 version of this car had a 646-hp hydrogen fuel cell, fitted with regenerative braking and an overboost function that provides a 138-hp jolt when needed. Will Citroën go that crazy and build a car to match this? A lot of people are saying “No”. A rumor was that they might go with the 638-hp, supercharged, 6.2-liter V-8 found in the Corvette ZR1…. but that means it won’t be keeping with the brand that is predominately French for many years.
The price tag on this little beauty is estimated to be a ridiculous cost of $2,100,000, and will be offered worldwide to those who are interested in it.
